Why is Goldbrook only mixed queue?
A bit confusing. I’ve already heard from a couple people that have reported teaming when they just didn’t realize they’ve been playing with no fill. Even if you do fill, you will be matched with people who are already in the lobby doing their own thing. Players will find themselves regularly wandering into the PvP zone, as a solo, just waiting to get ganged up on. Would it at least be possible to change the matchmaking so we aren’t added into groups that have already been in the match?

The thinking was to concentrate the players to reduce queue times. (Since mixed can support any of the 3) Also Goldbrook is mainly PvE so its only in the PvP area where you’ll get that friction you’re describing.
That said, what you say makes sense and this was an experiment. We also considered putting Mixed Autofill to default on or even forced on, what do you think about that?
Another option (if we really care about concentrating queues) could be to rotate the modes. Curious your thoughts @Connor Muckerman.

I do like the philosophy of keeping people rotating into the map so it feels lively. The social element in Goldbrook is great, partially due to that. I think having auto-fill forced on would be a good middle ground… would at least clear up any potential confusion and allow people to assume full responsibility for whatever happens on Crownhill. I know you guys don’t want to have to sift through more false teaming reports, also.
