Vets ruin the game, a solution is NEEDED (TLDR at the end)

Hello gamers, devs, mods and motherfuckers like me who are “sick” off work to play this amazing addictive game, which i truely love and needed.

To answer exactly what my feedback is and what exactly i critique about eldegarde, i gotta tell you my story involving this game.

I Played Eldegarde, when it was called Legacy, it had a smaller playerbase back then, didnt really mind it as i saw this as better to voice my opinions and get heard. I also liked the aspect of having a name and people remembering me and me remembering them. So tbh, a smaller playerbase is fine (but not below 1k like come on lol) .

But now we can start talking about the issue, and i lowkey apologize for typing so much, im just passionate about this game and want it to grow!!

As a player who came back, when eldegarde officially released, i was stoked to go back and wreck and get wrecked by people because pvp is just fun. But when i loaded up my first pvp game of the season i stumbled onto a HUGE issue, and that issue is called “Skill Diffrence”

I got shat on.

i decidet

if my girlfriend (if she existed) would see me get owned like this, she would leave me for another man, cuz that was embaressing, but its cool, i know i can get better. I know i will get better, cuz theres arena now, social hub and people on discord that can guide me :). I just need to put the time in.
(or so i thought)

The issues

I decidet to go grind some levels on my rogue, because my best skill comes at lvl 18, and where is the best place to do that and not risk dieing to a 5k hour veteran? Yessir, PVE.

oh boy when i loaded up in that bitch and saw 20 gazzilion nameplates, i asked myself, is this a paris hilton meet and greet and i just didnt know? Nah man, its newer players (cuz i didnt recognize any names, but obviously i dont know every vet, but its mostly newer players which i concluded from their gameplay)

but then i asked myself, why are these loot Pinatas all here and not on the pvp map.

Probably to get to know the game, was my first thought.

The first mob i touched, died fast, i grinded for hours to get those juicy level ups, even finally decidet to do ogre but oh wait, i forgot, THE ENTIRE FUCKING SERVER IS HERE DOING OGRE ASWELL xdddd.

When the ogre finally died after 5 seconds cuz it just ate arrows and daggers from 8 diffrent people, i wanted to check the loot but jesus christ, are those loot goblins quick at pressing the good ol E+L combo haha

but this wont be the first and last time someone steals loot.

After i finally got mats and drops to craft multiple gear sets of purple color and doing morthog (its insane, i love that dungeon so much, the loot, the theme music and the boss fight are all well done but why do i have to wait an entire week to do it???????????) i decidet to go do some pvp, firstly in the social hub and then arena

Social hub is deader than my relationship life, and if you meet someone there, its two chinese speaking lads probably friends dueling each other and ngl, i aint gonna go interuppt their bro-date, but i did find some people occasioanlly to duel and ask questions to

Arena, well after 1 to 2 minutes of queue, i finally found someone, a warrior and i lost

I requeue, i meet another rogue i lost, i requeue

now the funny part, after two arenas i met the same person i faced the first time, i even voip him “didnt we fight already”

this happend toooooo much but its not a big issue, just a playercount thing.

After HOURS of repeating the two mentioned steps, i finally go play my first real pvp game, and brother that fire wiz didnt even give me a chance to touch him, i get hard gapped, and you already know what my imaginary girlfriend would have done if she witnessed that…..

i spectate ofc to see his name, i read his name in my mind and then press tab to see the other players in the lobby.

omg adrianooottv still plays too, thats awesome.

what i mean is, its all the same dudes, that are living off welfare and eldegarde discord drama that are camping greenwood day and minmaxed everything this game has to offer.

i requeue, same thing happens but i dont fight them anymore but i voip to them and talk to them and befriend them.

and thats all on day one or two of launch btw.

next day i wake up, i queue pvp, ready to pvp and humble some noobs, but no man, the first person i meet is a vet who i met yesterday, when i exit the lobby and spectate, i get kinda sad because:

Where are the newer players, that can give me a fair fight, where i actually get to do something

Pve is too good, the drops are insane, which i proved myself, i have a filled stash with everything i need, my lodge is maxed out.

i got two sets of epics and legendaries

couple of blue sets for diffrent classes (cuz i tried out diffrent classes to understand what every class can do so i can actually start improving)

now a diffrent issue im having with this game, the rat playstyle.

Something i realised when playing inpvp maps, the moment i touch a mob and kill him to loot something, theres a player third partying me, so i thought about it and realised.

Touching the AI mobs (which imo are a lil overtuned) and fighting them, is a death sentence because wtf dude, it alarms everyone close to me, that im here, so i dont even wanna kill mobs or do ogre cuz theres always someone close to me waiting to rat.

so where the fuck do i even get my loot from then, if i dont win in pvp fights, and cant kill the AI in pvp maps? yessir you knew the answer, pve mode.

This loop made me sick and tired of the game, and i dont see myself getting better.

TLDR: the issues
1) mob density is too much, trying to grind gear on pvp maps is a bad move because there are people who are waiting for honest men like me to third party them doing AI

2) PVE mode loot is toooooooooo op, which makes me ask myself, why am i even farming ogre, wraiths and red mobs on the pvp map when i could just do the same in pve without dieing to the same guy i died to last lobby

3) Pvp lobbies are packed with either 1 more player, no players at all or the same 6 sweats, that wanna bully newer players

4) Ogre loot sucks ahh, i killed him with my duo in like 10 times, and thats before the patch that happend yesterday, we got nothing good, maybe an epic here and there. BUT thank god the lobbies were dead, there wasnt anyone in the lobby at all besides maybe one more team.

5) People on pve maps ninja looting ur kills

6) map rotations suck ahh aswell, brother i dont wanna play crypts that map suckkkkkkkksssssssss

7) sometimes maps are just dead, or not dead but everyone is not doing anything but waiting silently in the shadows cuz everyone knows, if i do mobs, everyone will come and third party me doing that wraith who does tooo much dmg and doesnt die quick

8) mobs are tooo strong and tanky, man why does it take hours to kill the wraith, ogre or anything. This isnt eldenring or world of warcraft, halven their hp pool or something idc.

So what exactly can we do, to make the new players (if there are any even) to come pvp, they need to make loot not that strong in pve, maybe let the drops be max green gear or idk to incentivise them to play on the pvp maps to upgrade their lodge or something.

but this still doesnt change the fact that vets will noob stomp the newer players and tbh idk how to sunset that.

The vets imo, all play like rats, cuz they already farmed good sets, and are all just queuing pvp and walking around trying to find people killing mobs and skill diff them, extract then requeue.
