(New Player) Hunter Arrow Ideas for balancing.
Sentinel Arrow suggestion: Make it so when the sentinel attacks an enemy. It highlights enemy foot steps for 60 seconds. (this will greatly help in the crypts) and over all with setting up traps for enemies (It also finally gives hunter a way to ‘track’ and ‘hunt’ enemies down.) - Then you can also make direct hits with the arrow also highlight foot steps. Allowing for multiple ways of using it. (Long Bow can finally get a clean ‘long’ shot off and not have them get away every time too)
Shadow Magic Arrow - Suggestion: A shadow magic oriented arrow that does damage and causes an aggro effect similar to ‘eye of grilok’ from TBC WoW. (The Eye of Grilok quest in WoW made you harness the Eye of Grilok which gave the player a debuff causing green orbs to shoot out of the player and aggro near by mobs.) The effect can be similar to the debuff done in this specific WoW quest but instead of green orbs.. - use the skulls that wraiths shoot at players.. - This arrow can then also be used in PvE by the hunter as cross species will fight each other. If I get a spider and an undead on me in the crypts .. then I can potentially shoot one with the aggro arrow and use the PvE mob to help me kill the other PvE mob.. Or pass the aggro on to a player trying to gank while you kill an elite mob / boss.

Neat ideas, like the idea of an arrow specifically only for PvE.
The footsteps idea fits into the RP of a hunter, but 60 seconds feels long to me. Maybe the footsteps get harder and harder to follow:
1-20 seconds, the player identified leaves clear footsteps maybe 1 every 0.5 second
21-40 seconds, the player leaves fewer footsteps, maybe only 1 every 1 second
41-60 the player only leaves a footstep every 3 seconds
This follows the RP that it gets harder to track enemies the longer they evade you. Also the player who is hit by this should be able to see their footsteps as well so they know they’re the ones being tracked, otherwise potentially could see the sentinel tracking being abused, and it also allows creates the potential for the player to spring a trap on the hunter.
