Mor'Thog Kill Exit Mechanics

First off I don’t know how far y’all are in with making the Mor’Thog dungeon but potential idea you can use for future bosses.

  • On successful kill of Mor’Thog the doorway should not automatically open (maybe up to 2 minutes)

  • Two Pillars/Two Friendly Goblins/Two Magical Portals spawn that you can interact with that do the following

    • One only opens the door

      • This allows the team to heal up and prep before campers can jump them or before they run to extraction

    • One opens a temporary extraction point on the opposite wall of the ogre cave (by the wall by the fireplace where the small normal Ogre is in day), and the extraction spawns a wave of goblins, and the door opens slowly over 5-10 second

      • This provides a super close optional extraction that has risk to it

      • You can choose to take this extraction so you don’t have to go use another, but then you have to fight off a wave of enemies

      • If campers are outside the door you can choose this so they now have a wave of goblins they have to fight before they can fight you

Something like this would allow you to continue adding larger instanced bosses into the extraction, but also gives the players some opportunity to fight off campers. You might say the campers will just wait outside, well there’s 2 sides with 4 exits, so the campers have to split up to cover both sides which gives the Mor’Thog kill team options.

  • Kill Mor’thog but hear no campers directly outside, do you risk the 50/50 option of running out real fast or do you risk spawning the goblins which may trigger the campers to run in and attempt to kill you while you fight the goblins.
