I think there needs to be a serious and open talk about why exactly it is that some critical issues regarding class bugs aren’t addressed and solved more quickly.
We used to get daily patches in season 1, and now even the most critical game breaking bugs (timewarp root being completely busted for 3 weeks, then nerfed but ACTUALLY BUFFED ??, frost arrow becoming the most broken spell in the game simply because of an unintended interaction)
This is a topic that is starting to push A LOT of people away from the game, and this is sad to say but this is adding to the list of records that show inability to address and solve issues quickly for the past few months, bug OR balance related.
Now this is still EA, but it is hard for me to believe that it will be day & night between the current environment and live ops;
The current situation we have since start of S3 (new completely busted gear set for wizard, even ANNOUNCED TO BE OVERPOWERED prior to its release), Fire and Frost wizards absolutely stomping through every matchup for 3 weeks, then there are 2 new game breaking bugs that are introduced while attempting to balance the game.
These kind of episodes post 1.0 will hurt the game much much harder than during early access; many people and myself have been advocating for patience and trust that things would be ironed out and issues smoothed out by 1.0, currently there is nothing of that sort happening on the horizon.
Just a post from a worried player, I have no doubt the whole team is hard at work looking at 1.0, but at this point it seems clear that there are things regarding the patching process that need to be improved, to be able to react quickly during live ops, and not just scare away new players because of critical issues left unattended.
