Eldegarde needs proper in client chat channels. Right now the game feels a lot more isolated than it should, especially for something the developers have said is meant to lean into the Mini MMO space. If that is the direction the game is going, then chat channels are not optional. They are one of the core features that make MMOs feel alive.
The game is missing a real sense of community. Without channels like global, server, game, or team chat, players rarely talk to anyone outside their group. New players log in, see silence, and assume the game is empty even when it is not. That hurts the experience right away.
MMOs rely on social interaction. Global chat keeps the world active. It helps players find groups, ask questions, and share moments. Team and game chat make coordination easier without forcing people to use outside tools.
It helps new players settle in. A visible chat channel shows that the game has life. It gives people a place to ask for help and feel like they are part of something instead of playing alone.
it supports the Mini MMO identity. If Eldegarde wants to embrace that genre, then communication tools are a must. Without them, the game feels more like a single player title with optional co op.
