Current Gameplay Issues
Hunter gameplay revolves around traps + frost arrows → feels slow, defensive, and not fun for either side.
Medium Bow feels very weak: fully charged shots do low damage (~180 vs purples).
Swiftness generation and chase potential are poor, leaving hunter overly defensive compared to other classes.
With B-hop removed, finishing kills is clunky and risky.
Hunters lack mobility compared to warriors/rogues/wizards
Input/Animation Concerns
Inputs feel clunky and delayed compared to other ranged classes.
Cyclone requires waiting through animation before jumping → punishing under pressure.
Arrow abilities (wind, explosive, etc.) take too long: multiple animations make them impractical in melee range.
Sentinel Strike often cancels if inputs are too fast.
Overall: abilities require “slow play” to function correctly.
Bugs/Balance Issues
Seed Bomb: too slow, easily evaded, unclear if evading removes it by design.
Poison Bomb/Arrows: poison buildup is far too low to be viable.
Warriors can jump attack without stamina cost; rogues have new leap spam; hunters struggle to create distance without traps.
Medium Bow weapon skill is redundant (just an evade attack after bugfix).
Swiftbow
Was overtuned last season, now eh
Swiftness generation is too slow and only reliable with auto-lock.
Aimed shots aren’t rewarded enough.
Suggested Adjustments (not all, just some for balance)
Speed up Seed Bomb projectile.
Rework poison/explosive bomb to be viable.
Increase Medium Bow damage and give it a real weapon skill.
Improve overall swiftness generation (especially on aimed shots).
Buff evasion options (longer or double evade).
Speed up Cyclone activation.
Shorten animation frames for special arrows.
Improve trait and gear variety to avoid one “mandatory” setup.
Closing
Hunters shouldn’t be overpowered, but right now the class feels stuck in a trap-and-kite playstyle with weak damage, clunky inputs, and poor chase potential. The class should feel like an archer — rewarding aim and timing — not just circling a tree.
