-Players are spending way more time in PVE maps, (probably more than devs expected) because the game loop is too disrespectful to players time. (this old MMO WoW days of grinding endlessly are over- most people hate it).
-Shift to a Soft Loot PVP system where only items in bags are lost (possible 1 item the player is wearing). Current PVP model is too punishing for MOST players. This is why extraction games generally die.
This also allows the removal of PVE maps completely.
-Keep instanced based PVE.
-Full Looting PVP maps could be limited to special maps that are intended to be more challenging (crypts and future maps). The loot drops in those maps should be SUPER JUICED (more than currently).
If this does not happen, the PVE game loop will be stale in a month, and player retention dies.
