-Spiderbite : Make it unstoppable,
This is our new setup attack for the leap attack, but we're way too vulnerable while using it, anything will stagger us out of it. On top of it needing us to use a dodge root to secure it, and the stamina cost of the attack, it's a total of at least 45 (or 55)stamina cost to secure the attack. it needs to be stronger.
-Cheapshot duration : Please make it at least 2.7 seconds,
I understand the need to nerf stunlock a little bit, but these 0.2 seconds missing are currently breaking many combos that we could use before, even trivial ones that wouldn't be considered strong. Claw was already nerfed as well this patch with affliction buildup, this is an unnecessary double nerf to our use of claw. (even though claw was slightly buffed in other areas)
-shroud : the 2 seconds of stealth at the start will make this spell unusable during a fight,
I get that the intent is to make this a pure engage tool rather than a disengage tool ? It's just gonna make it super annoying in extraction mode to engage on people, and useless during fights, that takes away a lot of use from the spell to just make it extremely strong to get free cheapshots on people. we will see how it plays out Also the spell no longer allowing us to unroot is ... a choice
I would nerf duration of stealth after invis overall, and maybe this spell could give us a very small tp forward as a rework ?
-grapple : allow us to follow up with attacks 3 and 4 after landing grapple, removing the animation lock and skipping attacks 1 and 2. this alone would make it much more viable and fluid to use.
-Pickpocket : Rework idea;,
Fixing pickpocket is good but it will currently never have a use in pvp. requiring an immobile target for 3 seconds is unrealistic. Give it a 1 minute internal cooldown, make it instant. that way both dagger and sword rogues can use it, it will feel like an actual mugging ability and would feel incredibly fun for the rogue fantasy. again, in the current state, it might as well not exist. Just imagine using it midfight while comboing someone, putting your hands in their pockets as they are too distracted to see you do, this just fits the rogue fantasy perfectly, and a 1 min cooldown means we couldn't spam it on a single player.
-dagger technical attack : we need a way to setup this that isn't cheapshot.,
Currently a dodge root isn't even enough to guarantee more than a tap technical attack. On someone that would be blocking, that's not even better than a regular dodge attack. In my opinion technical attack needs to be fast enough so that we have time to follow up with a heavy technical attack after a dodge root. Either make the technical faster, or the dodge root longer.
I love the concept of the technical attack but if we cannot set it up, we're gonna get wrecked the second that we try to charge it naked. and if we are forced to use cheapshot for it, then what's the point ?
I think the dagger rework is clearly in the right direction, but cheapshot basically now forces to either do only a spiderbite, or only a backstab, taking literally every variety expression that we could have before hand. on top of not being able to use claw backstab during cheapshot, claw buildup even got nerfed.
The technical is interesting but in the current state it’s just gonna open a window for our opponent to punish us whenever we try to land it, and on top of that it costs stamina.
Which means we will be forced to use cheapshot as a setup for it, which is in opposition with the desire to make our class revolving less around cheapshot.
