I’d like to provide feedback on the Dagger Rogue’s Double Evade attack and its current status as a red (unblockable) attack.
The issue:
Double Evade is a spammable core move in the rogue’s gameplay loop, yet it functions as a red attack.
This allows it to both pierce block and stagger unstoppable abilities, something that normally requires heavy charge up commitment.
Because of this, there is effectively no counterplay to the rogue follow-up. Even when opponents try to evade out or use an ability to counter, the Double Evade attack interrupts nearly everything and can be chained into repeated staggers.
Why it’s a problem:
Red attacks are supposed to be high-risk, high-commitment mechanics. Giving one to a spammed movement ability undermines the clarity of the red/blue system.
It devalues unstoppable abilities across multiple classes (e.g., unstoppable medium bow charge, ice wizard Q, warrior quake, Priest techattack).
It creates a loop where opponents are forced into constant stamina trades they cannot realistically win.
Suggested solution:
Keep Double Evade as block-piercing, which fits the rogue’s evasive and trickster design.
Remove its red status so it no longer staggers unstoppable.
Alternatively, introduce a new category for “block-piercing but not red” attacks.
This would maintain the rogue’s identity and utility against shield users, while restoring clarity, counterplay, and balance to core mechanics.
