I think it is working as intended, it removes build-up but if you already built up/triggered the combustion, it is too late.
Could be that it is unintended as for example priest cards remove it even when its procced already.

Have to test it fore the build up, but it doesn’t remove it after combustion proc either and yes it’s a bit strange that a priest card removes it but not a potion that you can only have 1 of per slot in the belt. The limitation of how many potions you can have should let it have that ability in my opinion.
